Isn't that basically what "create_makefile_pl => 'passthrough'" does?
If there are problems with that, what can we do to replicate them? I
would like to add some secondary tests to the Module::Build tree for
this sort of thing. My first thought is that it would take some sort
of secondary perl install or chroot, but maybe it doesn't have to be
that hairy.
