To answer your question, see http://use.perl.org/~Aristotle/journal/33995 . FWIW, I (and thousands upon thousands of others) have used FindBin for years without problems. However, it is annoying if you run into an edge case that doesn't work. I never have though. In fact, I've even gotten away with things like 'use lib "$Bin/../lib"' working across platforms :) Regards, Jonathan Rockway
