die "OS unsupported" unless $^O eq "freebsd";
in Build.PL should fix that. It'll turn your FAILs into NAs when run on
non-FreeBSD boxen. I have two dists (IO-Ppoll and Solaris-SysInfo) which
need that trick.
Yeah, I know about that, I actually have
if ($Config{osname} ne 'freebsd') {
die "$module_name does not support the ($Config{osname}) platform.\n";
}
because at the time I had not been taught the magic incantation. I may
fix this in a future release (which is contingent on 7.0 adding new
stuff (or breaking old stuff)) but then again, I may not.
I dislike the bare "OS unsupported" string, since it doesn't qualify
what exactly the platform is. I would much prefer a message that matches
/\AOS unsupported \S+\z/
