Somewhere along the line on one list or another, John mentioned that he got version.pm switched over to a regular Makefile.PL that uses EU::MM.
So we are free of the circular dependency. We aren't free of the dependency on "make". (Since M::B requires version.pm which requires EU::MM which requires make.)
