Description of planned submissions:
1) Net::FTP::Daemon, and related sub-packages: An extensible FTP daemon
written in perl using POE, delegates all filesystem actions to a class.
Implementing new classes for use by the daemon can allow access to data
sources more interesting than plain filesystem (ie. SQL database tables)

2) IO::Filesystem packages, which implement a general interface to a
datasource in a filesystem-like way. Initially planned for use by
Net::FTP::Daemon, but eventually meant to be general enough for any use.
As an interface, future interfaces to other filesystem-like datasources
are planned.
