Guys This is not going to be helpful I guess but I saw a relay extension harness in a magazine once? No idea where but if you imagine a plug and socket and about 12" of wiring harness. You plugged into the relay socket and remounted the 'new' socket in a more convenient place.
If I could find where I would buy some and solve the problem (same on the later cars also but there are 4 of them), but it makes me think that some wiring and a bag of male and female Lucar connectors would be a nice little winter project to add to my 'round-tuit' list perhaps?
