In August 2003 when our bundle of joy arrived, I started out thinking that
the Morgan was a very fragile device. Granted, there are quirks. And you
need to be careful of speed bumps etc but (and this is a big BUT) - you will
do more harm to your car if you keep it in the garage and never use it for
fear of damaging it. Many on this forum and in the MSCC have very smart cars
- that are used. We have a DonMog member with an Aero who has not done 2
Autotests and a Sprint taster day - without damaging the car. The same chap
took the oil cooler off on an obstruction on a friend's drive at 2mph.

My point is this - we have enjoyed our car far more by using it than we have
by wrapping it in Cotton Wool. I take great care when I clean it (it is the
only car we have that gets cleaned more than 4 times a year) and I am
fastidious with the grease gun and the spanner check. Through all the DonMog
Autotests and Car Trials we have not damaged the car. I did scratch the wing
badly with a clumsy bicycle move in the garage - and I am kicking myself -
but the car has come to more harm in the garage than it has on the road. It
pains me greatly that, at present, that the only car I can drive is the
Disco - if my ribs are a bit better I desparately want to get the Morgan out
- I especially want to join the Tormog run on 22nd July.

/End rant

Best regards

Paul
