Depends if you use a brolly when you walk down the street when it rains, then 
you might use one when in the mog. - would say if you drive any distance in the 
rain a few strategically placed dusters help keep the drips off your legs, then 
it's a nice feeling when you emerge into the sunshine and the rain stops - and 
your trousers dry out - magic - pity you can't wear shorts in UK to work.  Not 
same in Oz, or Cannes I guess, but then it doesn't rain much either

being as I rarely have a passenger,I used the compact retractable version;press 
the button and it goes up;struggle like hell to get it down 
again..........................BOC garden party?
