Gurston and Wiscombe are both truly excellent hill climbs, but for very different reasons. Spectating is much better at Gurston, in that there are some places where you can see a great deal of the course, unlike Wiscombe, where the views are much more restricted. Wiscombe is tight and twisty through the trees, Gurston is a power hill, with a downhill start. The fast boys are doing truly silly speeds through the sweeping left hander, (Ashes, IIRC), knowing that the Karousel will wipe all their speed off before Deer's Leap.
I did both hills many times in my motorcycle hill climb days, though I've not done them in a car.
