Following on from Tims comments re wing degradation. Some views on management would be appreciated. My 4/4 is almost 24 years old with original steel wings and paint. I have noticed over the last 12 months or so some increasing bubbling along the wing edges. and there are a few chips on the front faces of the wings.
I have been using one of those touch up kits from halfords, here and there, but I wonder what longer term strategy I should employ. Is it worth (or possible) to deal just with the bubbly edges getting then smoothed out and repainted - the rest of the pain on the wings is in pretty good shape. Or should I just keep on touching up the flaky paint on the edges and replace the whole wings when they are thoroughly rotten. Cheers for thoughts Simon ------------------------------------------- View posts on The Mail Archive http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ [http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/] Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=22459785&id_secret=22459785-4a39ddf8 Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
