Ed, if you enjoyed "Not Much of an Engineer", you might like "The Power to
Fly", by Brian G. Rowe, who started off as an apprentice at De Havilland's
and went on to be the top man at GE aero engines. I picked it up recently in
a bookshop in Ballater. In it there is a picture of him with von Ohain and
Whittle.
