Hamish,
Yes EP2 grease is fine for the job. The normal stuff for greasing the front
suspension, as recommended by Morgan, is a lithium base general purpose, high
dropping-point automotive grease - this fits into that category.

A better choice is one containing molybdenum disulphide (e.g. Castrol Moly
grease), as this is excellent for sliding, as opposed to rotating motion. The
main problem is that it's messier, though it wipes off hands easily. It is
better to grease regularly with a normal grease than less often with a fancy
one. Both wash off just metal as easily, as they are lithium soap based,
although SWMBO might not agree that they come out of clothes so easily.

Regards,
Owen.

Subject: [mogtalk2] Front Suspension Grease - Which type?

More help with my ignorance, please. Is EP2 grease suitable for the front
suspension of my 2006 4/4? I can't see any spec for this in the handbook.

  Regards
