John My 4/4 silver top has a Librands exhaust system and there isn't a heat shield over the cat. I'm the second owner of the car so it may be that it was taken off when the new system was fitted.
I have their banana branch exhaust manifold too which certainly improves engine breathing. Richard. Spotmog.
