I found out by simply disconnecting it using the multiplug to the left.
As to the actual electrical how, I'm afraid I don't. The component you can
see is a 'Rectifier Diode' reference BYV79E-100
produced by Phillips according to an internet search.

The pilot light in the headlamp comes back to a set of bullet connectors,
which on the drivers side are behind the expansion tank, you should find one
with a light gauge red wire un connected. I think the wing top lights
connect in the wheel arch.

Tim,

Thanks for the photo, very kind of you to crawl down there and take it for
me. I spotted that item under my dash yesterday but ruled it out on the
basis that all Dim-Dip units I've seen have 5 or 6 wires and this only has
four including a Black.

I certainly don't have the black box as per Mike's photo.

Do you know how this operates as a Dim-Dip?

Lawrence

Lawrence
The unit on my 1997 +4 looks like this, it is mounted on the bulkhead to the
right of the steering column
