The Santana was originally a license-built local Spanish version of
the Land Rover. Over time, the santana design evolved further away
from "proper" land rovers, but a lot of Santana parts (such as gearboxes)
are valued by people doing up classic land rovers, as santana continued
to develop and improve the older designs while Land Rover switched to
entirely new designs.
