Could you be any more vague? You're saying "Minion hangs sometimes", so am i to assume you mean the manager process? But then you throw around random topics like database locks, Mojo::UserAgent and complex code. So is it just a job? Or did you build a custom worker? Nothing you wrote makes any sense.
