I used the basic scripts on www.linuxvirutalserver.org and adapted them to my
specific situation. I'm monitoring http, https, imap and smtp services on my
director. In case of failure on one of the services, the specific real server is
removed and 2 alerts are going out: 1 e-mail and one for my pager. :)

I see in your script, you also remove complete services from the lvs. What's the
idea behind that? I mean once all realservers go down, why do you remove the
whole service? To use a backup server outside the lvs?

ROFLMAO sounds like a deal! It is quite lovely atm in Leiden. Temperature about
