Hi all,
I just discovered and installed Monkey HTTP Daemon via the Ubuntu Synaptic tool. Is there any real forum where discussions can be easily followed? First question: why is that that the Monkey Daemon is installed into the "/etc" folder? Why not into "/opt" or even elsewhere? Second question: Once Monkey HTTP Daemon is installed into "/etc/monkey" is I possible to move it elsewhere (eg. "/opt/monkey") and if yes, how to do so? Third question: how to stop Monkey HTTP Daemon? Now (may be a dumb) fourth question (You've noticed my Name, I'm not a geek - LoL): I saw in the monkey.conf file that there are: index.htm, index.html and index.php. So, I suspected that the Monkey HTTP Daemon was able to run dynamic PHP contents. Then, I tried the simple and classic call "localhost:2001/phpinfo.php" but I only get the code: "<?php phpinfo(); ?>" but not it's execution! My system is running Ubuntu 10.04.4 64 bit with PHP-fpm 5.4.4.1 that I can use with both Apache, Lightpd and Cherokee. So, where am I wrong? Thank you in advance for your help. Null4Ever. PS: Where will I get the answers (if any) of this message?
