The only other thing I can think is that you may be using a color format that mono doesn't understand. I haven't done any work in this area so am not sure what it does support.. Check the places where you are setting the color and for now comment them out, if it starts to work then add them in one by one until you find the offending value. Sorry it is kind of a lame solution and may require a bit of work to track down. Like I say though, I haven't done anything with color on mono so am not too sure what else could work.
