While not part of the Mono project per se, you might want to take a look at Chrome, the Object Pascal compiler for .NET and Mono that we currently are working on at RemObjects Software. The command line edition will be available free (and a free public preview is actually available at this time), and fully supports Mono (compiling against and running under), including the ability to cross-link from .NET against Mono libraries and vice versa. Rather then reinventing the wheel and writing another Pascal compiler for Mono, why not get involved with Chrome a bit more and help us make sure Chrome will suit the needs of Mono developers? We could use assistance and feedback from the Mono crowd on many levels. I've spoken with Miguel extensively on several occasions about Chrome and our support for Mono, and he was very enthusiastic and supportive of our goal of making Chrome /the/ next generation object pascal compiler for Mono, and a well-accepted part of the mono family. More information on Chrome can be found at http://www.chromesville.com or in our newsgroup at news://news.remobjects.com/remobjects.public.chrome, i'd also be happy to answer any questions you may have, here or via email.
