Director David Fincher's darkly twisted take on author Chuck
Palahniuk's equally twisted novel stars Edward Norton and Brad Pitt
as the two-headed embodiment of modern-day masculinity.
Using the concept of "Fight Club," an underground network of bare-
knuckled brawling matches where frustrated men get to vent their pent-
up rage, as a metaphor for cultural impotence, the film is a
startingly aggressive and wildly humorous skewering of the
superficiality of American pop culture.
Boldy subversive for a major studio film (cancer jokes, soap made
from liposuction left-overs, and violent terrorist actions against
Starbucks are just the beginning), this wild-ride of a film takes no
prisoners and makes total anarchy seem like a viable lifestyle choice!
