Those of us 17ers probably wouldn't be able to do this in the typical
two-car garage (the type to which I've assumed you're referring) . . . The
cable jack approach sounds worth pursuing . . . Thanks!

As I and one or two others have done it, not that much in the way of lifting
tackle is required.  I used a couple of "come-alongs" also known as cable
jacks, suspended from a joist in my garage ceiling which I had reinforced.
Frankly, that was the easy part.
