Dik:

Do you not have your original? I did....but mine was damaged and the
dimensions were not reliable.

So I bought a new rudder from Bob and used it as the pattern to make another
one....the one I made was slightly modified to use with a trim tab for a
self steering windvane.

Although they both work the same, buying one from Bob was cheaper and much
easier!

As for the foil shape, I finally decided on a NACA 0012 foil. Width at the
bottom (fore and aft) is about 12 inches. Width at the waterline is
less...about 11 inches. So to match the original requires that the foil
shape be tapered all the way up....a distance of about 36 inches before the
foils starts to taper out to blunt above the waterline.

And for what it's worth, I'd have to say that Bob and Jerry both have been
pretty good to a bunch of us slobs who never bought a boat from either of
them....in my case, it's been almost 25 years and numerous owners since she
left the left coast.
