Not at all, have kept Bellerin in the water since day one and it has not been a problem, just one piece of advise. when bottom paint is applied paint the rudder a little higher than the perceived waterline. As soon as I put her in the water some 11 years ago I realized the rudder was not painted high enough.
The added weight of a full gas can pushed her down a bit and part of the rudder was exposed without protection.
