Hi
I am a new owner of an older (1983) M15. The boat
appears in good shape but was delivered without the
centerboard installed. The centerboard is fairly
small, weighs about 40 lbs or so. And on quick
inspection appears not to have a hinge pin.
The problem is - I'll be darned if I can figure out
what to do with it!!! There apears to be no place in
the cabin to operate it from!
1. I assume its installed from the outside
(bottom) - but how?
2. How necessary is the centerboard ? I have had
other shoal keel/CB boats where the CB was
only used for upwind work and then was not
much of an improvement.
Any suggestions/advice greatly appreciated!!
