Craig If memory serves me right, on my M-17 I was able to access the hull through a lazarette on the starboard side of the cockpit.........An opening act for The Great Houdini to say the least!
A hatch on the vertical surface would have been nice, but I'm not sure how cost effective. WM carries a line of hatches capable of vertical or horizontal installation. Each comes with a template and instructions. FYI, the cockpit sole is cored with marine plywood. The remainder of the liner is solid glass.
