Thanks, Lenny. I've decided there's enough hardware through the transom to make easy access through the cockpit-side liner worth cutting. Gudgeon and motor-mount bolts are critical enough I want to make it easy to monitor their integrity. Also, I want to be able to add hardware to the transom without employing long-limbed double-jointed children. I'm glad the vertical surface of the liner is solid 'glass, which will simplify the hatch installation. --Craig

A hatch on the vertical surface would have been nice, but I'm not sure how cost effective. WM carries a line of hatches capable of vertical or horizontal installation. Each comes with a template and instructions. FYI, the cockpit sole is cored with marine plywood. The remainder of the liner is solid glass.
