Hello, I've been receiving your correspondents regarding your inspection plate install. Be careful with the 3m products (polysulfides). Some will eat your inspection plate. Marinized silicon is your best bet. Also there is a product called "FSR" which is good for removing stains on gelcoat. It is available at most marine hardware stores or check your west marine catalog. Lemon juice works great for removing stains on stainless steel
