I've lost track now, If the guy's Wife who is a Graphics Designer could (or would be willing) to do it on her computer, she would probably be done faster than we've rattled on about it. Especially if someone sent her 'what' the group wants. Myself, I'm an old pencil and pen type (draw what I see, then pretty it up). The Graphic design stuff is much quicker and cleaner on a good PC with the right software (which I don't have right now). I do have a photo printer that could take an emailed artwork and print it on a decal, to iron on to a shirt (until silk screened designs are done?).
But if there's a time challenge for getting it all done for the poor guy who started this ball rolling (thread), then a quick iron on of the logo 'could' get him a shirt in time for the shindig, right?
