Scott, thanks for the note. I see a Montgomery 15 in Kanas for sale, at $5000... I sent a note to this seller asking if ther were any marine surveyors in his area. There are none apparently. Any suggestions on checking this out with a objective person? What do think about hauling an M15 back to Sacramento with a 4 cylinder Camry Wagon? Now you know why I need the M15 and not an M17.

The price seems quite reasonable if it is as advertised. I have a lot (whole lot) more than that into my '91. As for being stuck in Sacramento, I had to pick mine up in Colorado. It seems to be a rite of passage into the Montgomery clan that you must drive long distances to take delivery!!
