I had to modify one of those slide on lock for my 2 HP since the rods at the 
ends f the attachibg screw are so small. basically a piece of flat bar with 
two slots cut in it. I always use the lock, even when just going to get the 
trailer. The 2 HP sells well on the black market and is easy to lift off a boat.
