Are you folks in a normal weather pattern or is this not unusual for this
time of year.
Hopefully it's not a normal occurance. Sounds like your area had what was
called a gully washer when I lived in Oregon.
The best thing about the rain is the cleansing the area gets, both the
streets and in nature and the fresh growth everywhere. Oh... maybe most impressive
is the smell of the air right after the storm. Sort of an Ozone freshess like
one can almost taste the clean air.
I'm not quite so depressed now after your story but now I really need a happy
sailing tale...
