Anyone interested in making a trip from Channel Islands Harbour out to Anacapa? We are doing the trip again! Date will be Sat Aug 26th. We will be accompnaying the Socal Potters group for the daysail. Norm Bundeck is going to go along aboard Dauntless with Mari Jo and I. It would be great to see some other Monty's out there. The trip is about 12-13 miles each way. We may set the hook at Frenchy's cove weather permitting and get a bite to eat onboard but probably will not land on the island.
If the weather doesn't favor the trip out to Anacapa, the thought is that we might sail up the coast about 6 or 7 miles to Ventura and pop in there for lunch. Jo and I will be arriving in Oxnard (Channel Islands Marina) on Friday the 25th and staying until Monday the 27th. Love to meet and see some other Montys. Last time I was there with Jason and Norm in 17 and a 15 we had a blast. Great launching facilities, gated guest docks, clean restroom and showers and super easy paking right near the boat for both truck and trailer. The Harbour Patrol folks were very accomodating. 23 days and counting!!!
