I am late to this thread, but gather that Rick is looking to have better transmitting with his transducer. Rick, I see you mention silicone, that agent of the devil [grin]. From what I have read and understand, epoxy makes a more positive bedding for the transducer. Silicone can trap tiny air bubbles, and even if it doesn't, it just doesn't transmit the signal as effectively as epoxy. Not to mention the dreaded residue (oops, I mentioned it ;-)
