Doug, I'm with you on this. I like the bolt rope, and I roll mine up on the boom similar to your method. It's fast and clean. I'm shopping for a new main and plan on going with a bolt rope again, with a loose foot. One problem, however, is if you want full battens. I was hoping to have the sail made with the top 2 battens full, but the sailmaker says they'll hang up without slugs. Any of you have experience with this? Larry
