I created a simple mount by using a piece of PT2x4 and attaching?it to the winch stand.? I then attach the motor to the 2x4 for trailering.? This way I can keep an eye on it using the rearview mirror?while trailering and it eliminate the hassle of laying it down and possibly causing?issues.? It's quick and effective. The mount is a pretty beefy metal mount (standard now on M17s?) but I don't know how strong or resistant to cracking the fiberglass transom is.
