Rich, I changed my 1982 M15's center board pennant and removed the pin. I'm glad I did since the pin had rusted away in spots and the center board had a crack in it by the pin hole. I also found the center board had several other cracks and some swelling. I fixed the cracks, ground down the swollen area and put a new pin in.
