Mark...my 06 M15 from Bob has a 'peel n stick' number plate from Bob. I
think that this is done so if they get delivered out of order..he can keep
the promised number.I expected a 'molded in number' as every boat I've ever
owned had .What stops anybody from altering hull numbers after???

I've never seen a Montgomery without the hull number molded into the
transom. I don't know what happened with the one you saw with the engraved
plate unless it was a boat made by the person who had the molds for a
while
between Jerry and Bob Eeg.
