I suggest making a new upper hatch board out of 3/8" plywood and putting a screen in it. Make a screen for your forward hatch using a fabric screening and velcro. A cheap and relatively easy fix if you own a sabre saw and scissors. Ian M-17 the mighty "Seaweeble"
