Have you tried anchoring by the stern?

Subject: M_Boats: ventilation

I have a deck plate starboard side of the cockpit wall just forward of
the transom. It would help to open it at night, but I failed to see
that. I am really not dumb, just crazy. A couple more, each side of
the forward face of the cabin could catch some moving air and let it out
at the back. There would still be some difficulty since typically the
wind stops at night here and picks up during the day when I least need
it for ventilation. My deck plate has never given away and it has never
leaked.
Phil
