It is with a lot of hesitation that I post this and I hope that I won't be hammered too hard! Jo and I have been extending our sailing trips more and more and have from time to time discussed up-sizing to make extended stays on the boat more comfortable. These discussions were always based on doing this move a ways in the future. Keeping that in mind, we recently became aware of a potential deal on vessel that we had identified as a possible candidate to suite those needs/desires in the future. It seems that the current economic situation of the country has landed many a boat at brokerages or in the classifieds as folks cut the discretionary spending to tighten their belts. It's a buyers market for sure. It's a great deal and it won't be there for long before someone snatches it up. Even with it being a great deal, it's a financial s-t-r-e-t-c-h for us and could only be made to happen if we liquidate Dauntless and do so for top dollar. Maybe even top dollar and then some. Working in our favor, of course, is that the 23 is a rare bird and there may, remember I said may, be someone out there that has identified the M23 as the boat that they have to have. Also working in our favor is that it really doesn't matter if we sell her or not. We are very happy with her, had no plans to sell her, and will gladly keep and sail her should this particular deal pass us by. So, with that....Dauntless is for sale. She will remain for sale only until the window to move on this other opportunity passes us by. I would appreciate it if you would consider the above comments before posting how crazy I am with my asking price. The price is what we would need to move into the next deal. I realize it's high...you may think it's very high and I'm not offended by that. It's just what I would have to have to make it happen and you never know till you ask. So the asking price for M23 Dauntless $37,500 and it is non-negotiable. I expect that Dauntless will remain ours for a long time to come.
