My M17 is one of the origonal fin keel models with 39" draft so, I need a
dinghy to get ashore. When I got the boat from my brother, it came with a 9
foot "Fatty Knees" (Lyle Hess designed lapstrake). It tows like a dream and is
very easy to row or sail. It is a bit heavy at 85 pounds but I can load it on
the top rack of my Pontiac Torrent by myself using a roller on the rear cross
bar. The boat is still in production by Eady & Duff and is a real quality bit
of work.
