Thanks for all the info.? I think I may have to have two.? One tow-able and 
one inflatable. one that will carry my wife and me with some supplies easily 
one for longer voyages that will be just big enough to get us to shore.

I use a Sevylor inflatable cheapie.  Works fine for me as long as
I don't have to row a long way.
