Tony,
If you use the 4th lap down (not including the bootstripe one) on center you 
should be fine as far as your water line.  Once I got the boat level, I used 
a clear hose level all the way around the hull and marked it.  It worked 
fine and Seafrog sits perfectly on her waterline.
