They say that Oriental is the sailboat capital of the east.  Don't know 
exactly how that survey overlooked Anapolis. Maybe they meant the southeast. 
Anyway, I have sailed on the Neuse and it is a fabulous sailing area.
I don't think there is anything currently advertised for a 'messabout'. But 
I can't think of a nicer area to do such a thing.
