Well, it finally happened. My perfect feedback score (mostly as a seller) of 2604 has now been tarnished forever. (I've been an eBay member since 1998.) Received my first negative feedback from a deadbeat bidder that never responded to my numerous winning announcement emails. Over 7 days had passed and still no reply. I took the next step in the standard eBay transaction process and issued a non-paying bidder dispute. Well, this moron did not realize that this was just a "reminder" to complete their part of the transaction within an additional 7 days. Instead, he posted negative about me saying I had "reported" them to eBay. I emailed the person again explaining the detrimental chain of events they started by not knowing the transaction process. I also informed them that they too would now receive negative feedback .(I rarely leave negative feedback, instead don't leave feedback at all for nonpayers.) The deadbeat was also informed that they would now definitely receive the "official" non-paying bidder strike against them and that 3 of these would cause him to forfeit his membership. It is a sad day for me.

I was told by eBay Powerseller support that several feedback situations are reviewable, and reversable, by eBay. Among those few situations, are transactions that did NOT actually take place, and are supported by the fact that the seller filed the appropriate non-paying bidder notices. In this instance, the bidder does not have the right to file feedback regarding the transaction because he never paid for the item, and there was no transaction
