Ayahhhh, two well-seasoned and outstanding sellers/dealers with diametrically opposing opinions. I had also been told that the smallest size was appropriate for web auctions because the pictures will load much quicker.  On the other hand, the quality and resolution of the photos will be compromised and limit scrutiny (although, quite frankly, even large photos such as those one can see on Bruce's image gallery or Gray's Heritage site are not, in my opinion, particularly revealing). I suppose I could take photos at 3 settings (small, medium, and large), but that could take an enormous amount of time as the numbers of posters increases (not to mention all the resetting on the camera).  Additional positions on either side? Or compromise solutions?  Or is that it?

Thanks!

Small (640 x 480 pixels)

I was always told that this is the best size for the internet.  That is why you don't need a real expensive digital camera with tons of megapixels for Ebay.

Fellow MoPo-ites,

When you are taking digital pictures of posters so that you can include them in your eBay, Movieposterbid, etc. auctions, WHICH SETTINGS ON THE CAMERA do you use?  My guess is 640 x 480 at a superfine setting, but I might be wrong on this.  Obviously, those who want to hide blemishes to the poster might want even lower settings.  Anyway, what are your thoughts?

Medium 1 (1600 x 1200 pixels)
Medium 2 (1024 x 768 pixels)
Small (640 x 480 pixels)

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Saul
