I suppose I could take photos at 3 settings (small, medium, and
large), but that could take an enormous amount of time as the
numbers of posters increases (not to mention all the resetting on
the camera).

As others have mentioned, you don't need to take anything but a
relatively high resolution image; 1600x1200, or UXGA in video terms,
is good.  If you need to then post a smaller image size to an ebay
listing or use as an email attachment, it's very simple to resize the
image to a smaller resolution in almost any image software and then
save it as a new file. Be careful not to accidentally overwrite your
high res file!  Photoshop will do this, of course, but that's rather
like using a cannon when a flyswatter will suffice.  There are basic
image manipulation and viewing apps available that do all you need,
and they load far faster than Photoshop.  For example, I use a free
one called Irfanview, which I recommend. (Google it.)
