Most obvious, to me, is Citizen Kane. The original release posters are
awful. (Tagline: "It's Terrific!")

A lot of the great Warners movies of the 40s have pretty blah posters. Can't
come up with a title off-hand.

Btw, I actually think Bullitt is a pretty good movie, even if it does have
Robert Vaughn in it. So, in that case, good movie/good poster. The Getaway
(Peckinpah/McQueen), on the other hand, I just re-watched recently and was
really disappointed with. Best part of it was when they were trapped in the
garbage truck.
