The Mummy lobby card was a great find. I had someone offer me the original
one sheet for Dracula back in 1982 or 1983 for $3500. Well, at that
time, he could have been asking for $35 million and it wouldn't have been
different. The guy explained to me that it would probably be worth quite a bit
more in the future, and I agreed, but $3500 was almost 3 years rent to me in
those days. He offered to go down to $3000. I told him he could go down to $300
and I still couldn't afford it. If I had only known, I would have borrowed from
everyone I knew to buy it. I always hoped that guy never sold it and still has
it to this day. You could see how much he loved the poster and hated to have to
sell it.
New question...........Graphically, The Mummy and The Invisible Man one
sheet are my favorite of the Universal Horror Classic one sheets. How about
everyone else?
